Children eighteen months to six years are welcomed to classes from two to five days weekly in this beautiful, North Boulder, home-based Waldorf early childhood program.  Teacher, Donna Hamann, is a trained Waldorf kindergarten teacher with twenty-two years experience and an additional twelve years of experiences raising her own children.  She places great value in an early childhood program for the children of today offering a home environment to a small group of children.

The program year commences in late August and includes a 4 week (3 days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) summer program ending in mid July.  Our day begins in the morning at 8:30am and closes in the afternoon at 3:00pm.   We follow a Waldorf school calendar of holidays throughout the year.  Please visit the Calendar page for specific information. During the peak of summer from mid-July to just following mid-August classes are closed.

Class sizes vary, but exceptional to this program offering is a class size not greater than nine children with two teachers.  This licensed home care program nurtures children through their first experiences of leaving home for school each day.  We are a sibling-like environment, fully capable of offering a variety of nap/rest scenarios to families with very young children needing a lengthy nap, to children who nap a hour or less, or children who simply rest a bit before afternoon outside play.  Our nap program completely supports the early evening bed hour for children, adjusting nap/rest as needed.

Children thrive within a rhythmic day/week/month/year filled with seasonally-based and healthy indoor/outdoor activities.  They are gently guided toward acquiring the first skills of socialization.  Both a child's imagination and their senses are nurtured within this environment inspiring beauty, activity and developing skill.  Our bio-dynamic gardens support us as we happily grow and gratefully harvest foods served at our table.  All foods throughout the year are bio-dynamically or organically grown.  We serve two hearty meals each day and a snack before leaving.  We are experienced at meeting any dietary need.  Guidance is generously provided for parents who, from time-to-time, need the insight of an experienced teacher. Our parent-body whole-heartedly supports school ideals and activities within their individual home environments.  Together we create a strong foundation for children for life. We are a thriving group of parents and teachers actively working together with one another sharing similar concerns for raising today's children.
